We meet you where you’re at and help you get to where you want to be
What We Do
Evergreen Strength and Wellness is a private training studio redefining what fitness looks like. We provide small-group and individual coaching that supports strength, mobility, and sustainable habits—without judgment, toxicity, or one-size-fits-all thinking.
Our coaches empower clients to make intuitive choices, manage stress, and find confidence through mindful movement. We work alongside healthcare and wellness professionals to support clients beyond the gym, recognizing that wellness includes rest, relationships, and mental health.
This is fitness that fits into life, not the other way around—a space that welcomes every body and celebrates progress in all its forms.

Megan McGarry
Megan is a Portland local with special interests in running and strength training for runners. She enjoys working with both individuals and groups, and strives to make movement accessible and rewarding for all bodies. She will meet you where you’re at, whether you’re an experienced athlete looking to improve your strength and skills, or a beginner looking to build a movement routine that enhances your quality of life. While long-term goal setting can provide direction for her clients, her daily focus is to help her clients leave the gym feeling better than when they came in. She strives for each client to achieve confidence and positive body-image through strength, stability, and mobility.

Chase Mancia
Chase, a Portland-native, has been a NASM certified personal trainer for over 5 years. She has previously competed in strongman competitions and loves to help people feel the same empowerment she felt when she started lifting weights! Her training philosophy makes strength training feel safe, welcoming, and doable for everyone. Rather than forcing everyone into trendy workouts, she emphasizes training that adapts to someone’s real, changing body and life. Her ideal client is someone who is willing to try new things, trust the process, and have some fun along the way. Outside of the gym, you can find Chase and her wife at a Thorns game or thrifting around town.

Joe Koonrajaksebonde
Coach Joe is a Utah transplant who found his passion in movement, strength, and helping people reconnect with themselves. His coaching is rooted in strength and conditioning, but what truly sets him apart is how deeply he listens. Joe believes great coaching starts with understanding the person in front of him not just their goals, but their history, habits, stress, and daily life.
Joe helps clients learn how their bodies work, build strong foundations, and develop confidence in their abilities, both inside and outside the gym. His approach goes beyond workouts. Through intentional training, honest conversations, and lifestyle guidance, he supports clients in building physical strength, mental resilience, and self confidence.

Are You Ready to Connect With Your Coach?
Our Commitment To The Community
We view strength training as an essential service to everyones wellbeing, especially those who historically are excluded from wellness spaces. It’s important to us that we help those within our own communities be able to access safe spaces and the most common barrier to entry we see is financial inequities. Because of this, 1% of revenue is set aside to help make coaching more accessible for those who face financial barriers to training.
The People’s Run Club
Running together sucks less!
Coach Megan founded Portland’s local running club for beginners and experienced runners who want to run with other people similar to them.
We schedule weekly runs that are free to all to join, the only paid service we offer is custom race-specific programming.
If you’ve always wanted to start running, or hate running and want to get into it, join the group on Strava and meet the group!
